Trinity Institute of Professional Studies organized Alumni Meet ‘Reunirse’2020
22nd February 2020, New Delhi: Trinity Institute of Professional Studies, (TIPS), Dwarka, affiliated to G.G.S.I.P.U organized ‘Reunirse Alumni Meet’ 2020 with great pomp and enthusiasm.
The alumni meet commenced with a hearty welcome to the alma mater of TIPS, following which everyone engaged in interactive games such as ‘Cold drink shots’, ‘English Vinglish’ which brought back memories of the good old college days. The games were followed by a soulful and melodious performance by ‘Elysian’, the music society of the institute and the much awaited competition for ‘Mr. and Ms. Reunirse’ which witnessed great enthusiasm.The second part of event commenced with the lighting of the lamp and seeking the blessings of Maa Saraswati with Saraswati Vandana by Dr. R. K. Tandon, Chairman, TIPS, Dr. H.P. Garg, Director-General TIPS, Dr. Barkha Bahl, Director TIPS, Dr. K.K. Geetha, Director (Law) and the associates. The dignitaries also included a distinguished chief guest, Mr. Suresh Jain, National Organizing Secretary of Bharat Vikas Parishad.
The gathering was then addressed by Dr. R.K. Tandon whereby he welcomed the alumni and introduced the setting up of a special office for alumni, to re-connect and benefit the present students with the inputs and experience of alumni in the spirit of teamwork. He also highlighted the various events and innovations that the institute has implemented to promote holistic development. The dais was then taken by Mr. Suresh Jain who encouraged the youth to move forward and contribute in nation building. Following this, Dr. Barkha Bahl came forward and in her address, highlighted that each alumni is a valuable member of TIPS family and also encouraged them to bridge the academia-industry gap by acting as mentors for the current students. Dr. H.P. Garg and Dr. K.K. Geetha also welcomed the alumni of the institute and expressed their views on the special occasion.
The stage was then taken by the Bhangra group which left everyone in high spirits by their unmatched energy and powerful dance performance. After another game of ‘Open Talent’, the dance society of the institute ‘Zorks’ gave a splendid performance leaving the audience in awe. It was followed by a nostalgic story telling session by the alumni and poetry recitation by Dr. P.K. Nayak which touched an emotional chord amongst everyone. A video was then played with pictures of the alumni, making them revisit the memory lane. Thereafter, nine alumni were awarded for their achievement in different fields such as social work, corporate, management, and media amongst others. Moreover, four alumni were awarded for talent round apart from the winners of the most coveted titles ‘Mr. and Ms. Reunirse’. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. K.K. Geetha whereby she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the management as well as the organizing teams of student volunteers who made this event a grand success.
This was followed by lunch and DJ which made everyone dance enthusiastically. The event turned out to be highly successful in bringing everyone together, revisiting memory lanes and especially as an occasion of pride for the management of the institute to witness the success of their alumni.
